Hello world, I'm Dave. I'm the one-man Art Department here at the Knit.
I hail from West Virginia - the land of many trees, thick accents,
questionable heritages, squirrels, and cheap trinkets sculpted in coal -
where I grew up, attended secondary school, formulated grand opinions,
attended college, deconstructed those opinions in favor of new opinions,
and generally felt like a fish-out-of-water. From there I moved to North
Carolina - land of Jesse Helms, bizarre drinking laws, questionable
heritages, and cheap trinkets shaped like seashells - where I learned to
respect natural disasters, drove everywhere I went, no matter how close,
never drank the water, and developed my budding skills as a work-a-holic.
|
Now I'm in New York City - land of thick accents, respite for
fish-out-of-water, home to work-a-holics and cheap-trinket-central. I
don't own a television anymore. I've found that I love walking (previously
a devout driver), and I haven't been bored in months.
My job here is to make things look good. I like making things look good.
I like my job. My job likes me.
